Most of our students have no prior dance experience.

No matter your skill level you can progress at your own pace! Our open-level group classes will be focused on your abilities. There is also plenty of freedom to explore private training or independent sessions. If you’re up to the challenge, private sessions with our instructors will replace your cardio, flexibility, and strength programs with a single fun workout that will leave you ripped and equipped with new moves to amaze your friends!

Students are preferred to be 18+, however students from 16 to 18 will require parental permission.
8 WEEK BEGINNER COURSE
This course is designed for everyone to introduce absolute beginners to pole dancing. Every class consists of warm-up, conditioning for strength and flexibility, essential pole dance moves including spins, tricks and a routine with floorwork.
By the end of the course you will be familiar with the pole, be able to complete a short routine. You will build up your strength and flexibility for more advanced pole work.
Pole moves range from floor work to inverting (going upside down).
South Pole Dance is happy to invite students who have completed the beginner course to join the Intermediate Level 1 class. The curriculum of this course consists of more advanced inverts, transitions and tricks that will challenge your pole dancing at your own pace. Discover a new level of self-confidence built on an ability to dance seductively and be ready to love your changed image!
Suitable for all levels. To increase your flexibility and elongate your muscles. Each class will cover stretching each part of your body. This class is suitable for all levels and caters from the inflexible to the very flexy. Increasing flexibility will help in all aspects of Pole dance.
A new routine will be learnt each classes . Each routine is a combination of dance, floor work, and pole work. This class is suitable for all levels with variations for beginners, intermediate and advanced students. Heels are welcome!
Feel like you need more time to practice your moves? Come along! Each class begins with a warm up and then it is up to you to choose what you work on. This stucture-free class will give you an opportunity to master your skills under supervision of our instructors. Practice makes perfect!

How it works?
A party runs for 1.5 hours from the moment you walk in to the moment you walk out unless you chose additional options. We require a minimum of 5 people at $25.00 per person. A deposit of $125.00 is required to secure your booking. Cancellation one week prior to the booking will receive a refund of their deposit. Any cancellations within one week of the party will not receive a refund of the deposit.
Signature South Pole Party - Includes a sexy warm up in which you'll learn to walk with grace & sensuality, following up with stretching and then you'll learn several Beginner to Intermediate Pole Tricks based on the fitness level of guests. And we'll finish up by putting everything you learned into a routine. Standard party goes for 1.5 hours. You can also add a few more dance options such as Strip Tease, Chair Dance or Lap Dance but you must book a 1.5 - 2 hour time frame to include more options.
*Attire for Parties* (The Do's & Don'ts)
It’s your party so dress up and get wild. Feel free to wear costumes or lingerie. Shorts are best if you are doing a pole party because you need your skin to climb and stick to the pole. You can also choose to keep it simple and wear fitness attire such as leggings or yoga pants and a tank top for a fitness party. For strip tease wear layers. No nudity. Shoes: Wear an old pair of heels as shoes can get scuffed. The height doesn't matter. Heels are not mandatory and you can choose to go barefoot. Do not wear hand jewelry such as watches, rings & bracelets as it will damage the pole surfaces. Avoid putting on baby oils or heavy lotions (moisturiser) on the day of your party. This will effect your grip and cause you to slip down the pole.
You can video your routines as long as everyone in the group is happy to be filmed.

WHAT DO I WEAR TO CLASS?
Whatever you feel comfortable in. You can wear gym pants or tiny shorts! We recommend you wear shorts, unless you are attending an absolute beginners class (in which case you can wear long pants if you really want to).
As you progress through the levels, you will find that many of the moves require more skin to pole contact. For these moves, shorts and a singlet work better. High heels are not compulsory in our classes. Our instructors wear them, whether or not you do is up to you.

DO I NEED TO BE STRONG AND FLEXIBLE TO START?
No - you will build your strength and improve your flexibility over the course of the term. We offer fun and challenging class where you can progress at your own pace. Lessons include conditioning and stretching in each class.
DO I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO DANCE?
No. You can pole dance even if you've never been to a dance class before. Beginner pole dance is absolutely for everyone! We'll teach you all the basics.
DO YOU HAVE PAYMENT PLANS?
Payment is due in full prior to beginner class. However, we are able to split payment up before the course starts.
WHAT ELSE SHOULD I KNOW BEFORE TAKING A CLASS?
You should not wear any moisturisers on your skin the day of class. Sweating will release the lotion back to the surface, and you will be sliding off the pole making it dangerous for you and anyone else who uses the pole after you. So absolutely no lotion. Leave your bulky jewellery at home as it is preferred jewellery is not worn in class.
